Moving Liquids with Sound
The Echo Acoustic Liquid Handler:
- Utilizes Acoustic Droplet Ejection (ADE) technology for accurate and quick transfer of fluids up to 700 drops per second
- Transfers are non-contact from an Echo compatible source plate to an inverted destination microplate
- Allows real-time adjustments through Dynamic Fluid Analysis (DFA) for reliable nanoliter transfers, with no intervention required from the user
- Calculates the depth of fluid in each well and can also analyze fluid types such as DMSO or glycerol percentages
- Provides 1:1, 1:many, many:1, and complex combinatorial transfers from a compatible source plate to dry or pre-filled destination wells
