Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization Methodology
Beckman Coulter's SPRI* reagents feature technology that uses paramagnetic beads to selectively bind nucleic acids by type and size, and are used for high-performance isolation, purification, and cleanup protocols. This reagent technology supports applications such as next-generation sequencing (NGS), Sanger sequencing, qPCR, ddPCR and microarrays.
Nucleic Acid Immobilization
1. SPRI* reagents contain beads which are directly added to sample reactions.
2. Nucleic acids are selectively immobilized onto SPRI* reagent beads, leaving contaminants in solution.
Contaminant Removal and Wash
A magnetic field is used to pull the microparticles out of solution.
3. Contaminants are aspirated and microparticles are through washed, yielding high quality nucleic acids.
Nucleic Acid Elution
4. Purified nucleic acids are easily eluted from the microparticles under aqueous conditions, which provides maximum flexibility for downstream applications.
