The CD77 antigen is neutral glycosphingolipid of the globoseries globotriaosylceramide (Gb3). It is known as the Pk blood group antigen, a normal intermediate in the biosynthetic pathway of the P blood group antigen. CD77 is also present as an antigen of germinal center B lymphocytes entering apoptosis. It is expressed by endothelial cells. Studies have shown that the antigen may be associated with a Burkitt's Lymphoma-associated Antigen (BLA).
