Biomek® NX Span-8 Syringe Selection Expanded

2.5 and 5 mL syringes now available for large volume sample processing!

Biomek NX Span-8
Syringes for the Biomek NX Span-8 instrument are now available in 2.5 and 5 mL sizes to address large volume sample processing needs, such as nucleic acid purification protocols. The syringes are intended for use with Biomek Software version 3.2. Within this software version the syringes are native to the pod settings in Hardware Set-up. When selecting the desired syringe size(s), default syringe speeds are set to prevent overload of the syringe pump or splashing of system fluid on the deck.

The 2.5 and 5 mL syringes have been tested and verified for use on the Biomek NX Span-8 platforms, but have not been validated to any specific application. Biomek Software Technique Files and Liquid Types need to be optimized for a specific application in the laboratory, sample matrix, and syringe size.
