The Biomek 3.0 software unifies the expanded Biomek liquid handling product line under one software platform enabling researchers to move methods easily from one system to another. The new Biomek 3000 and Biomek NX provide researchers with a wider choice of applications and throughput capability to meet their diverse requirements. The consolidated Biomek software platform enables multiple system users to learn just one program. Biomek 3.0 software offers simplified method development and easy transfer of methods from one Biomek configuration to another, even through the systems use different pipetting tools.
The new Biomek software has the capability to enable users to meet 21CFR Part 11 requirements. The software includes passwords, electronic signature and customizable access and revision controls. The system administrator can set different permission levels for various functions, while a sophisticated revision control feature tracks all changes and automatically rechecks methods, storing all versions and renaming new methods. The system also allows methods to be developed outside the 21CFR Part 11 environment for subsequent integration and validation on the system.
