To more effectively communicate the power of Biomek instrumentation for sample preparation around the world, Beckman Coulter now offers the Biomek Quick-Start Guides in six languages:

• American English
• French
• German
• Italian
• Japanese
• Spanish

The Biomek Quick-Start Guides are available for the Biomek 3000, NX Span-8 (with and without Gripper), and NX Multichannel platforms. The Quick-Start Guides are designed to help new users learn to use Biomek Software, along with the associated instrument. The guides include:

• Introduction to the Biomek hardware and software
• Introduction to creating methods, such as instructions on creating, saving, running, checking-in, and opening a small method
• Introduction to using the editors in Biomek Software; for instance, exploring the depth of the software by giving instructions on accessing and learning more about the editors

After following the Quick-Start Guide, users will have completed:

• A small method
• Steps using the software editors
• Steps creating some new project items
• Steps to manually control the Biomek instrument

By using the links to other manuals provided in the Quick-Start Guides, users will be able to gain more advanced knowledge of Biomek hardware, software, and associated accessory products to optimize their sample preparation protocols.

An English (American) version of the Biomek Quick-Start Guides comes standard with the purchase of a Biomek 3000 or NX instrument. Other language translations are available on one CD and must be included on an order at no charge.
