This solution is available on both the Biomek FX and Biomek NX and consists of both custom software steps and custom Multichannel Pod Receivers. For a description of the Serial Dilution Step, see "A Custom Serial Dilution Step" in the November 2004 issue of the T3 Update. This solution is supported on Biomek software version 3.2 and Biomek FX software version 2.5e, and supports any 96- or 384 well plate already supported by the Biomek software (Figure A). It allows for either a full or partial box of tips to be loaded, even accommodating tip boxes pre-configured by the user. To date, there have been over 80 shipments of the Biomek Multichannel Tip Pipetting solution to customers including GlaxoSmithKline, Amgen, Amphora, Applied Biosystems, AstraZeneca, Aventis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck, Novartis, Novozymes, Organon, Pfizer, Procter and Gamble, Roche, and Scynexis, to name a few.
