Labware Definition for the Invitrogen E-Gel* 96 Agarose Electrophoresis System on the Biomek® FXInvitrogen

Import file: E-Gel96.imp Demo method: Coming soon Demo method import file: When using the E-Gel 96 definitions on the Biomek FX, simply drag and drop the desired base onto the worksurface of the Biomek FX in the Instrument Setup Step. Select which pipetting head you are using and drag the appropriate E-Gel 96 definition to sit atop the appropriate base. Note: The E-Gels themselves can be moved with the gripper system. The gels cannot be moved when placed on any of the Mother/Daughter Bases because of the retaining clips that hold the gel in place. Additionally, when placing the E-Gel 96 and Bases onto a Biomek Automated Labware Positioner(ALP), users should position the units in the upper right corner of the ALP. This will allow the Biomek to reliably access the E-Gel system. The import file contains four different labware definitions as seen in the figure below.
