Troy Cook and Shun Luo, Ph.D.
Beckman Coulter, Inc.

Beckman Coulter, Inc. has been the leader in laboratory automation for over fifteen years. The Beckman Coulter Biomek 2000 is one of the most widely used, flexible, and reliable liquid handling systems on the market today. The current study is designed to demonstrate that high throughput PCR reaction preparation can be achieved routinely and precisely using the Biomek 2000 Laboratory Automation Workstation.

Features

  • Able to setup reaction with small volumes.
  • Three different protocols developed to accommodate a variety of needs (see method flowchart of Application Details page).
  • Each protocol uses the same deck layout for ease of use (see Figure 1 on Application Details page).
  • Uses tube to plate transfers.
  • User can place the original stock of template on the deck and the instrument will perform the dilutions.
