In order to meet the objectives of high throughput downstream DNA analysis, procedures that generate sufficient quantities of high-quality plasmid DNA are required from a large number of samples. Beckman Coulter, Inc., has developed instruments and reagent kits to provide such integrated solutions in the field of DNA purification. The Biomek 2000 Laboratory Automation Workstation is used for complete automation of plasmid DNA purification using the Wizard* SV 96 purification kit from Beckman Coulter Inc.
Features
- Use bulk dispense tool for Resuspension, Wash, and Elution buffers for faster processing.
- Processes 6 plates in 5 hours 40 minutes.
- Utilizes stacker carousel for high throughput.
- Uses an easy to modify loop procedure to choose from 1 to 6 plates to purify (see Method Flowchart on Application Details page).
- Excellent recovery of plasmid DNA, between 8-10mg total yield.
