Immunotech, a Beckman Coulter Company

Beckman-Coulter is the only company to provide the cytokine research community with a "Plug and Play" solution for the automation of ELISA kits for cytokines.  This solution is based on the synergy between the Immunotech ELISA portfolio and the Biomek 2000 Workstation.

All the steps of the ELISA procedure have been extensively optimized to guarantee the best throughput, reliability and sensitivity with minimal hands-on time.

The present method was set up for optimal throughput and walk-away time by integration of a Stacker Carousel and a Microplate Reader. Up to 10 plates can be run in the same experiment without any user intervention. The automated reading and saving of the ODs at the end of the method allows the user to run unattended overnight experiments.

A low throughput procedure with a minimal robotic configuration without integrated reading of the ODs is available: Automation of 1 to 3 plates of Beckman-Coulter-Immunotech cytokine ELISA on the Biomek 2000 Workstation.

Each method is highly specific to one cytokine and can only process the kits supplied by Beckman-Coulter-Immunotech. The present method is proposed as a fully functional example, a complete list of available methods can be found at Automated ELISA product list coming soon.

Features

  • Integration of a Stacker Carousel to achieve high throughput.
  • Fully integrated method with auto saving of ODs to maximize the walk-away time.
  • Fully validated method for reliability and linearity with the existing manual procedure.
  • Accurate volumes are guaranteed by the creation of "Virtual Tools" specifically calibrated to pipette Immunotech reagents.
  • Processes 10 plates in about 7h 15min.
  • Automated washing on the Biomek 2000 with Wash Tool 8.
  • Technician time limited to the dilution of Standards.
