Automation of Cell Motility Procedures on the Biomek® 2000 Laboratory Workstation Using the Cellomics* Cell Motility HitKit* Product

A key benefit of the ArrayScan® HCS System is the ability to acquire quantitative multi-parameter information from individual cells using sophisticated image analyses algorithms and software. Images are acquired by standard epifluorescence inverted microscopy of clear-bottom 96- and 384-well microplates in conjunction with 5X, 10X, and 20X objective magnifications. The instrument comes standard with a 20-plate robotic plate-handling unit and can be upgraded to an 80-plate robotic plate-handling unit, depending on individual throughput needs.
The ArrayScan HCS System also includes the Cellomics Store Data Management System with Cellomics Data Viewer Software. The Store system provides the resources to easily transform massive volumes of assay data into valuable information.
The system provides:
- Visualization of data and analytical tools for cross-plate analysis.
- Visualization of results at the plate level and individual wells. Powerful "drill-down" capabilities automatically link data from plate level, to well level, to cell level, all the way to the actual images of the cells measured using multiple channels of fluorescence.
- Optimal storage and transparent access to the massive volumes of data and images that are produced by high content screening. No more locating, sorting, and loading of archive media.
