Simulator Software for BiomekŪ FX Software v2.x
This installation file installs simulator software into the Biomek FX software. The simulator allows you to view the actions of the instrument on the computer screen. This is very useful for method development and can reveal potential method challenges without damaging the instrument.
Biomek FX software version: 2.0 or higher
Simulator installation file:

*Note: This software is not supported and is provided as a courtesy only.
There may be video card compatibly issues causing the simulation to be
displayed incorrectly. Installing an updated video driver provided from
the card manufacturer may solve the problem.

To install the simulator software on the Biomek FX:
- Click on the link above to download the file.
- Choose a destination directory to copy the file.
- Double click the file to begin the installation.
- Follow the onscreen instruction to complete the installation.
To use the simulation capability:
- Create a method.
- Run the method by clicking on the green arrow.
- The simulation display will automatically open simulating instrument
movement.
Note: Double check that the connection port setting in the Biomek FX Hardware Setup is in Simulation and is not displaying a com port.
To install the simulation movies:
- Click on the link above to download file.
- Choose a destination directory to copy the file.
- Double click the file to begin the extraction.
- Choose a destination directory to save the file.
- Double click the movie file to view.
Note: Must have an appropriate movie player to view .avi files.
