Definitions for Biomek® Universal P50 Tip

Biomek® FX software version: 2.5e, 3.2 or higher.

Five definitions are provided. Please select the definition for your specific system configuration.

• Biomek® FX Definition for Multichannel and Span-8 pod. (For use with Biomek Software Version 3.2 or higher): P50_BFX.imp
• Biomek® FX Definition for Multichannel and Span-8 pod. (For use with Biomek Software Version 2.5e): P50_BFX25.imp
• Biomek® NX Definition for Multichannel pod. (For use with Biomek Software Version 3.2 or higher): P50_BNXMC.imp
• Biomek® NX Definition for Span-8 pod. (For use with Biomek Software Version 3.2 or higher): P50_BNXS8.imp
• Biomek® 3000 Definition. (For use with Biomek Software Version 3.2 or higher): P50_B3K.imp 

To download the tip definitions follow the steps below:

1. Download the file from above that supports your specific instrument configuration.
2. Choose a directory to copy the file.
3. Utilize the Biomek Software to import the file as described below.

To install the tip definitions for Biomek Software version 3.2 or higher, follow the steps below for importing a project file:

1. From the Project menu, choose Import Project.
2. In Open Import File, browse to and select the Biomek import file to import.
3. Choose Open.
4. Select all project items from the Biomek import file to import. (Note: By default all project items are selected.)
5. Choose OK to import all selected project items.
6. Choose close to Check In Project.

To install the tip definitions for Biomek Software version 2.5e, follow the steps below for importing labware:

1. In the Biomek software under the Tools menu choose Import/Export Utility.
2. Select Open.
3. Select the directory where the import file (.imp) is located and choose Open.
4. Open the Labware folder by clicking the + next to it on the Import File side.
5. Drag and drop the desired setting(s) to the Current Workspace side of the Import/Export Utility. (Note: Dragging an entire folder will copy all of the settings in that folder.)
6. Continue to import settings using the above steps until all desired settings are imported.
7. Choose close to exit the Import/Export Utility.
