Installing Additional Beckman Pumps into the Biomek® FX software
Biomek® FX software version: 1.1b or higher
Installation file: BeckmanPumpInstall.EXE (605KB)
To install additional Beckman Pumps on the Biomek® FX:
- Click on the link above to download the installation file.
- Chose a destination directory to copy the file.
- Double-click the file to begin the installation.
- Name the new installation of the Beckman Pump a different name, i.e. Beckman Pump2, etc.
- Choose to install in simulation or with real hardware if connected to an instrument.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
To put an icon of the new pump installation on a pallet in the Biomek® FX software:
- In the main menu system under Options click Palette Builder.
- In the Step Palette Builder window that pops up choose the Steps tab.
- Under the Categories column click on SILAS.
- Click on the name of the new pump installation, i.e. Beckman Pump2, and drag the icon over to a palette on the left side of the Biomek FX software screen.
- When creating a method, click on the pump icon and configure the step as you would any other step.
