According to prevailing statistics, diabetes is the fifth leading cause of death by disease in the United States where approximately 20.8 million people have diabetes (diagnosed and undiagnosed).
This conference will address the need for guidelines for laboratory testing in diabetes by presenting updated evidence-based recommendations for the measurement of plasma glucose, as well as the use of non-invasive glucose measurement, genetic testing, autoantibodies, insulin, C-peptides, ketones, microalbumin, hemoglobin A1c and other analytes used in diagnosing and managing patients with diabetes.
