Disease Specific Care Certification Workshop

This one-day workshop provides a comprehensive overview of Joint Commission DSC Certification. You’ll receive a thorough, consultative review of the updated DSC Certification process, including an explanation about DSC standards and eligibility, the application process and the benefits of certification. You’ll also learn about the status of the standard measure sets, performance measurement expectations and data use.
Although stroke centers have received the largest amount of attention in recent years, this program will go beyond stroke, as the material will be applicable to other certifiable diseases, as well. At the end of the workshop, attendees will attend a special breakout session dealing with selected diseases. At the end of the event, you’ll be able to:
- Describe the benefits of DSC certification
- Identify the new DSC standards
- Define the performance measurement approaches in the DSC process
- Identify key resources that can assist an organization to achieve DSC
