The goal of genetic analysis is to generate precise
and accurate information, no matter what the challenges. So we built
the CEQ 8800 with the versatility to utilize sophisticated
problem-solving methods to reconcile otherwise inaccurate or
inconsistent data. Using a novel approach to chemistry, our system
features unique DNA sequencing reagents--including linear
polyacrylamide gel (LPA), coated capillaries, ITP chemistry and
cyanine-based infrared dyes--coupled with online denaturation. This
results in less correction, more meaningful raw data, and
higher-quality final analyses. All of which enables the CEQ
8800 to resolve complex sequences where other systems fail, filling
in the gaps with high-quality sequences. In this example, the CEQ
series is compared with another automated sequencing system for the
completion of a problematic human genome sequence region. A section
the other system couldn't resolve was accomplished using the
innovative chemistry of the CEQ system.
