The ProteomeLab DU 800 is a UV/Vis spectrophotometer that has been optimized and configured for protein research. It determines protein concentrations using commercial assays and is best suited for comprehensive enzyme kinetics/mechanism studies. Other common spectrophotometric applications are also included with the system.
The total amount of protein is determined with the Protein Assay Analysis application using commercial assays such as Lowry, Bradford, Biuret, etc. that allow the quick calculation of concentrations with a standard curve.
Knowledge about the total amount of enzyme activity is often crucial in protein characterization. With the Enzyme Kinetics/Mechanism application, the speed of a reaction (rate) and the effects of a catalyst (enzyme) on the production of a new product or the disappearance of the reactant is important information. In addition, inhibitors may play a key role and can be studied with this application.
The ProteomeLab DU 800 comes with a High Performance Transport, a Peltier Temperature Controller and a Peltier temperature-controlled Auto 6-Cell Holder to give you the greatest flexibility and accurate results under highly controlled temperature conditions. No water connection is required to control the temperature of your samples or to remove the excess heat.
The hardware and software configuration of the ProteomeLab DU 800 represent a "top-of-the-line" system for protein research.
Get your results quick and easy with a fully integrated system.
