SYNCHRON LX®20 PRO - CTS

Available on SYNCHRON LX®20 PRO and UniCel® DxC clinical systems. The rack with sample tubes is positioned under the piercer unit. The piercer unit clamps the tube (shown left) as the blade lowers into position. If a closed tube is detected, the blade pierces the tube top and releases any residual vacuum. When all tubes are pierced, the rack moves into position on the sample carousel. When reagent is ready, the sample probe slides through the pierced cap and withdraws an aliquot.
