Immunohistochemistry Reagents

Printer Friendly

Beckman Coulter provides several primary antibody formats to address most working situations.

IOPath®, IOPath+, and IOPath+2 Immunohistochemistry Reagents

IOPath and IOPath+ are optimized and calibrated for immunosustaining of tissue sections using the Universal Streptavidin-Biotin (see Support Reagents/Detection Kits).

  • IOPath antibodies are ready-to-use
  • IOPath+ antibodies are calibrated to be used at a final dilution of 1/50.

Source:
Mouse ascitic fluid or conditioned culture media, or rabbit antiserum.

Purification:
Ion-exchange chromatography, affinity chromatography or gel filtration.

Components and Storage:
Prediluted antibodies, IOPath are supplied in 50 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.2, containing 1mg/mL of bovine serum albumin and 0.1% sodium azide. The buffer contains a green dye, except for P/N IM1344 (Estrogen receptor) which is formulated with a pink dye. Storage is at 2-8° C, without freezing. The expiration date is printed on the vial label.

Concentrated antibodies, IOPath+ are supplied in phosphate-buffered saline containing 2mg/mL of bovine serum albumin and 0.1% sodium azide. Storage is at 2-8° C, without freezing. The expiration date is printed on the vial label. Dilution should be performed in a protein-containing buffer (2mg/mL bovine serum albumin or equivalent).

Other Reagents

Concentrated primary antibodies are available in liquid or freeze-dried formats. They are not restricted to immunohistochemistry (e.g., COULTER CLONE® Monoclonal Antibodies). These products are provided with a fixed protein concentration for the widest range of experimental applications.

Source:
Mouse ascitic fluid or or conditioned culture media, or rabbit antiserum.

Purification:
Ion-exchange chromatography, affinity chromatography or gel filtration.

Components and Storage:
Concentrated freeze-dried antibodies are supplied in phosphate-buffered saline solution, containing 1mg/mL of bovine serum albumin, with no preservative, unless otherwise specified. They must be reconstituted with distilled water as described in the package insert.

Concentrated liquid antibodies are supplied in phosphate-buffering saline solution containing 2mg/mL of bovine serum albumin and 0.1% sodium azide unless otherwise specified in the package insert.

Concentrated freeze-dried and liquid antibodies: 2 - 8° C or in aliquots of -20° C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. The addition of 0.1% sodium azide is recommended for storage up to one month at 4° C.

Dilution of concentrated reagent should be performed in protein-containing buffer (2mg/mL bovine serum albumin or equivalent).

Formats:

Format Size Preparation Form
Concentrated 1 mL 0.2 or 1 mg liquid
Concentrated - 0.1 or 0.2 mg freeze-dried
Concentrated 0.5 mL - liquid
Concentrated 100 µL 500 µg/mL liquid
Concentrated 50 µL - freeze-dried
