The Multimek 96/384 system is controlled with software using standard Windows* conventions. The icons in Multimek Pro represent operations such as tip loading, aspirating and dispensing, and are arranged using drag-and-drop technology to create procedures. Simply point and click to select the plate to aspirate from or dispense to, and set the parameters according to your requirements. Methods programmed in Multimek Pro Software use intuitive flowcharts and dialog boxes.

Looping and Variables

Loops are easily programmed in methods using Multimek Pro. The variables capability lets you write "reusable" methods, which prompt you to enter values for parameters such as transfer volume, number of wash cycles, or number of loop iterations at the start of a run.

Flexible Pipetting Parameters

The Multimek 96/384 system gives you the power to execute liquid handling procedures precisely as you specify. With Multimek Pro, you control pre- and post-dispense air gaps, multiple aspirations and multiple dispenses (even from or to multiple plates), aspirate and dispense speeds, aspirate and dispense heights, tip touches, liquid level tracking during aspirate and dispense, and mix volumes, speeds, cycles and air gaps. Dialog boxes for entry of pipetting parameters.

The Multimek Pro flexible software includes a variety of standard plate formats and also allows for the addition of operator definitions. Any combination of plate types can be placed and used on the worksurface. Examples of labware that can be used include:

Track Method Operation During Run

With the Multimek Pro Run-Time Module, animated graphics track the action from start to finish, allowing you to monitor every aspect of your method run.

Recoverable Pauses During Operation
|

The occasional need to interrupt a method is no problem for the Multimek 96/384, which permits run-time pauses. Pauses can also be inserted into a method to alert the operator with onscreen text or audible alarms when a plate or tip box needs changing, a reservoir needs refilling, or when the deck needs to be reconfigured.

Macro Software for Advanced Applications

All system functions and positioning motors can be directed through easy commands with this macro control language. Multimek Macro provides system flexibility and functionality to satisfy unique 96 and 384-channel pipetting needs. Non-standard applications can be accomplished with Multimek Macro.
