The SAGIAN Bar Code Reader has been pre-configured to read various types
of bar codes.
When a plate is scheduled to be read, it is placed in the SAGIAN Bar
Code Reader plate holder and a command to read the plate is sent.
The SAGIAN Automated Methods Interface (SAMI® NT) software utilizes the
bar code data to track plates through processing and to maintain their
sample histories. If the plate identification does not match the
description the system expected, an asterisk is attached to the current
identification of that plate. The use of SAGIAN laboratory automation
solutions improves efficiency, while the B/C Reader offers a reliable
tool to allow samples to be tracked, and their histories archived, using
their unique bar code identification.
