The best column. The best mobile phase. The best detection wavelength. How much effort does their selection entail? It can make a world of difference when developing HPLC methods for routine analysis. Determining the ideal combination of these factors ensures faster delivery of the desired result -- a validated method for the separation of your analytes.
The methods development selection process typically involves separation strategies borne from user experience, published methods and chromatography simulation software. But as you well know, time-consuming "trial and error" prevails as the most common technique for working out the final details of any method. At least, that has been the case -- until now.
Through the introduction of our innovative 32 Karat™ Software with our System Gold® HPLC, the methods development process has been greatly simplified. By automating the choice of optimal mobile phase conditions and column type with real-time peak purity analysis, we've streamlined this demanding separation science.
Each of our high-performance pumps is equipped with programmable selector values that allow you to easily set up multiple methods -- with as many as four different mobile phases per pump. The autosampler is equipped with programmable high-pressure switching valves that allow multiple columns to be used. And the diode array detector combined with 32 Karat Software provides the spectral information required to make decisions about peak purity and optimal detection parameters.
