Cell Assembly Ordering Guide
Each rotor can hold up to three of the cell assemblies described below, allowing up to nine different sample-solvent pairs to be examined simultaneously when using the six-sector cells.
Double-Sector Cells
Each double sector cell assembly will consist of a cell housing and window assembly kit (P/N 334606), and one double-sector centerpiece (order one of the five types listed in the section "Double Sector Centerpieces." The parts of an individual cell assembly are usually used and stored together, rather than mixing components of several cell assemblies. See the diagrams and charts for typical assemblies and uses.
Six-Sector Cells
Like the double-sector cells, the assembly will consist of a cell housing and window assembly kit (P/N 335402), two window assemblies (P/N 334597), and a six-channel centerpiece (P/N 331376). The cell housing assembly for the six-sector cell is different from the double sector cell housing assembly. See the diagram for typical assembly. The six-channel centerpiece takes advantage of the fact that time to equilibrium is inversely proportional to the square of the fluid column height. The centerpiece is essentially a double sector—each sector having been divided into three short channels—so up to three sample-solvent pairs can be studied simultaneously.
