The Thermal Exchange Unit (TEU) accessory heats or cools a reservoir, plate or other standard labware on the Biomek 2000 worksurface. The unit snaps into any Biomek 2000 worksurface location and a regular Biomek labware holder (not included) fits into the top, ready to accept labware. Temperature is controlled via a user-supplied circulator bath.

Single-Tip Pipeline Tools

The P20, P200L and P1000L pipette tools accurately transfer volumes of 1-20, 5-200 and 50- 1000 µL, respectively. The P200L and P100L include patented liquid-level sensing technology that sonically detects the meniscus for control of reagent usage and liquid transfer uniformity. All Biomek pipetting tools have liquid-level tracking capability that automatically calculates the sample height for subsequent liquid transfers. In addition, all Biomek pipette tools allow repeat pipetting of identical volumes for multiple liquid deliveries from a single sample aspiration. Single-tip tools can sample from the bottom of tubes up to 100 mm in length, provide extremely accurate pipette transfers from 1.0 µL to 1.0 mL and are compatible with a variety of Beckman Coulter Pipette Tips.

Wash Tools and Wash Units

Wash tools are available in single- and eight-channel versions that deliver liquid from 50 µL to 150 mL. Ideal for plate washing, cell feeding or large-volume liquid delivery, wash tools have an extended reach (40 mm) for large-volume multiwell plates, such as the Beckman Coulter Deep-Well and Square-Well titer plates. Biomek Wash Units provide accurate liquid delivery and aspiration for all washing and large-volume liquid delivery requirements and are automatically controlled by the BioWorks Operating System.
