Cocktail for Tissue Solubizers
Organic Soluble Samples
Ready Organic does not contain emulsifiers and so is not miscible with water. This makes it ideal for radioassay procedures in which an aqueous radiolabeled substance is transformed into an organic radiolabeled product (e.g., enzyme reactions). The product may be quantified without prior separation of the reactants simply by adding Ready Organic and counting the radioactivity solubilized into the cocktail phase. This is one situation in which two-phase counting is advantageous.
Tissues
Ready Organic is the cocktail of choice for metabolism and other studies that require quantitation of radiolabeled compounds in tissues. It is fully compatible with BTS-450 and other tissue solubilizers, as well as other organic solvents used for extraction and precipitation of biological material.
High Counting Efficiency
With a counting efficiency as high as 62% for 1 mL of some samples, Ready Organic yields high performance for all samples tested. The specifically designed flour system resists the effect of quenching at high sample volumes.
