Standard-length, reference electrodes to form an electrode pair with an
indicating electrode. Available in both calomel and AgCl types and with four
different reference junction types: quartz fiber, ceramic frit, inverted sleeve
and double-junction sleeve.
Quartz Fiber Junction
Maintains a rapid flow rate for fast response and minimum tendency to clog. It
is the best general purpose junction.
Ceramic Frit Junction
Exhibits a very slow flow rate. It is recommended for minimal potassium and
chloride contamination of the sample.
Inverted Sleeve Junction
Provides a very high flow rate for troublesome sample. May be disassembled for
cleaning. Recommended for pastes, creams, colloids, sludges and highly viscous
samples.
Double-Junction*
Has the same characteristics as the ceramic frit junction. Recommended where the
flowing electrolyte must be matched to the sample and/or the sample must be
completely isolated from the filling solution.
* The inner chamber of the double-junction electrode is not refillable.
The outer chamber can be refilled with a custom filling solution to match the
sample.
