System Gold® HPLC systems incorporate the latest technological advances in hardware design. The solvent delivery modules are built with the digitally controlled rapid refill pump design with automatic compressibility compensation that has received multiple patents. These features produce smooth flow from microbore to semi-preparative flow rates, and the high-pressure mixing design eliminates the need for constant helium sparging or degassing. The pumps are combined with high-sensitivity UV/VIS and diode array detectors and autosamplers with automation capability to build HPLC systems that have a reputation for the best performance, ease of use and troubleshooting, and longevity due to a solid and reliable design.
The HPLC systems are capable of standalone control via an easy-to-program front panel on the pump module or they can be controlled with 32 Karat™ chromatography software which offers data collection and analysis as well.
Gold HPLC systems are available with a variety of options, including stainless steel or non-metallic systems, built-in programmable 4-way solvent selector valves, built-in programmable column switching valves, and microbore to semi-preparative flow rates. This makes it possible to select a system that will best fit the needs of any laboratory.
All HPLC systems which include a minimum of a pump and detector include installation and basic training by qualified Field Service Engineers.
All HPLC systems and modules include a full year in-lab warranty. Details are on quotations and the warranty statement.

System Gold BioEssential HPLC Package
|
|
These systems include everything needed to start performing HPLC except solvents, column, and a
printer. These systems include the pump, detector, injector, and data system as indicated. Also included
are all cables, drip tray, column mounting bracket, solvent reservoir kit, and test kit, as well as installation
and training. Due to the advanced pump design, an on-line helium sparging or degassing apparatus is not
required for optimum operation. A one-time vacuum degassing prior to loading solvents can be done if
desired. Piston wash is a standard feature on all System Gold pumps.
BioEssential HPLC systems do not come standard with Validation (IQ/OQ) or multi-use features.
These features can be purchased as additions to the BioEssential Package (see below).

These systems require connection to a computer that is running Beckman Coulter chromatography software.
To build a complete HPLC system, combine one of these systems with the desired injector and computer
system from the following pages. These are called “add-on” because they are ready to add on to existing
Beckman Coulter chromatography workstations such as System Gold, Gold Nouveau, and 32 Karat.
If there is an open system slot on the workstation, then simply selecting one of these systems along with
an injector will provide an additional HPLC system.

Data Chromatography Workstation and Software
|
|
32 Karat™ Chromatography Software is a newly developed package for instrument control, data collection
and analysis that runs under the Windows 2000 operating system. This full 32-bit software incorporates
modern ease-of-use functionality combined with all of the features needed for research, biotechnology,
or pharmaceutical laboratories. Each 32 Karat™ workstation is capable of running up to four Gold HPLC
systems with multiple channels. 32 Karat™ software has been developed using documented processes and
is fully validated at Beckman Coulter.
Each 32 Karat™ package is shipped with one IEEE board and one Gold board, ready for two HPLC
system controls (one if diode array system), and two P/ACE MDQ System controls. One additional
Gold Board can be installed to allow two additional HPLC system controls. In addition, Analog-to-Digital
boards are available for data collection from non-Beckman Coulter detectors.
The 32 Karat™ Workstation includes a computer platform that has been validated by Beckman Coulter
